Alcantara Tribe | Coronado Sandy Play Day
“Don’t slide through life. Savor it. Slow down, be kind, pay attention. Because this isn’t going to happen again.” - Carrie Fisher
Every 6 months, my friends Kerryann and Christian reach out to me for family photos. The first time, Kerryann simply read books and breast fed her first born, and then dad came in for some roughhousing. Another time, the baby was crying and their little boy’s pants kept falling down.
Once, we were pretending we weren’t dripping sweat because we’d had the heat on full blast in their bedroom to keep the newborn warm.
Every single session though, their desire was to capture the season they were in. If it was messy, capture it. If it was sweet, capture it. Whether it was calm or crazy loud or hectic or playful... whatever was the reality of their current life, THAT is what they wanted captured.
These peeps understand that you only get this particular version of today once. When it’s quiet and still years from now, this crazy is what we’ll miss the most. This time's session was all about play. Digging toes into the sand, running amok, splashing each other a bit, and BONUS...
GRANDPARENTS GOT TO JOIN!
